Band Against MS is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit public charity, committed to providing educational information for those living with Multiple Sclerosis, and funding programs helping those living with the disease. Nationally acclaimed recording artist Clay Walker established BAMS in February 2003, because he wanted to help others living with the same disease he has battled since 1996. More information about BAMS is available at www.bandagainstms.org.
The five goals of the Foundation include:
- To help provide hope for those living with MS;
- To educate those living with MS about the importance
of working with a doctor to help manage MS; - To encourage individuals living with MS to seek appropriate treatment;
- To fund research seeking a cure for the disease; and
- To fund programs providing assistance to people living with MS.
This site is primarily to provide information for BAMS Bike Team members and their friends / families / donors. The BAMS Bike Team is currently active in Minnesota, Nebraska, Tennessee, Texas, and Washington State.

Each rider on Clay Walker’s Band Against MS (BAMS) bike team is expected to act responsibly on the road and in public situations. As a BAMS member your presence on the road and in the community should be held with high regard. Please be courteous to the local towns you visit, follow your state’s cycling laws and protocol, and remember that while you are wearing your team jersey anything you say or do is a direct representation of our organization. Additionally, please use caution when utilizing online systems (email, Facebook, etc.) to convey information as many people outside your reach have the potential to view your message.
